Apple iPhone 3GS 16GB
The iPhone 3GS has several advantages over its predecessors, including a beefed up 3 megapixel camera and a more powerful processor. It also gives users access to a new operating system to make the user experience that much more enjoyable.
The iPhone 3GS retains the highly regarded iTunes and App Store services, the former giving you access to millions of songs you can buy and download on your iPhone, whilst the latter gives you the chance to download and enjoy life-enhancing and more frivolous mobile applications.
About the Apple iPhone 3GS 16GB
The iPhone 3GS is the handset by which all other smartphones are judged. Whilst rival manufacturers have produced handsets with better cameras, more powerful processors and various wacky designs, no one has been able to come up with a phone to topple the iPhone 3GS.
On the outside the iPhone 3GS is as appealing as ever, with its large 3.5 inch multi-touch sensitive screen taking up most of the front. The screen of the 3GS benefits from a dirt, grease and scratch-resistant coating which will repel fingerprints.
The 16GB of internal storage space of the iPhone 3GS is more than enough for most people to store their favourite songs and best loved video clips, whilst having room to download the latest and greatest games and applications and store all of the pictures and videos they shoot using the camera.
The 3GS benefits from a 3 megapixel camera which can now also shoot video. There is no flash, but you can tap the screen to focus on specific points of interest before you take your snap. You can now also send and receive pictures via multimedia messages (MMS) which was something the previous version of the iPhone lacked.
The 3GS is more powerful than ever thanks to a new processor and with the built in accelerometer you can tilt, swivel and shake your phone to control games and applications. It also has a built in compass app which will let you know exactly in which direction you are facing.
Arguably the strongest selling point of the iPhone 3GS is the wealth of applications which are available for download, often free of charge, from the App Store. Apple has encouraged a huge community of software developers to create software for its phones and you will be able to use apps to book cinema tickets, stream music from the internet and drink a virtual pint. As the advertisements say, there is an app for everything.
The 3GS has the third version of Apple's operating system installed and there are some major inclusions which you may love. For example, you can now highlight text from a message, an email or a website and then cut, copy and paste it. Although this may sound like a fairly basic function, it is something that you will use again and again every day.
Social networking has become a major part of everyday life for millions of people and the iPhone has many ways in which you can keep in touch with your online life. With built-in Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity you can download files and browse the internet at broadband speeds. The internet browsing software is highly regarded and you can quickly zoom in and out of web pages with small text.
The iPhone 3GS 16GB excels in nearly every area and if you can afford the high price of entry then the iPhone world is well worth your attention.
